Individual Therapy
Psych Assessment
Individual therapy sessions are a balance of ongoing assessment, evidence-based intervention, and special attention to creating and maintaining a supportive therapeutic relationship.
Rates:
Initial 60 minute assessment = $200
60 minute session, individual therapy= $200
Although personalized for each patient, I tend to utilize the following types of treatment:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
principles of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
aspects of Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
While not a robust neuropsychological evaluation, brief psychological assessment is available for the following inquiries:
ADHD assessment ($350 for total evaluation)
A succinct assessment to help inform medication considerations and non-pharmocological treatments. Includes an hour interview, intereptation of diagnostic assessments, and 3-4 page evaluation with diagnostic information and brief recommendations for treatment. Typically this evaluation is requested by prescribing primary care providers who are prescribing psychiatric treatment for ADHD and would like to clarify a diagnosis.
For patients seeking accomodations for school or work, a more thorough neuropsych battery may be necessary. Referrals will be provided.
Diagnostic assessment (billed in hourly increments; typically 2 hours)
For patients curious about the presence of a diagnosis (e.g., is this OCD?) or determining a differential diagnosis (e.g., Bipolar Disorder vs. PTSD). Treatment recommendations and necessary referrals are also provided.
Second opinion evaluation (billed hourly increments; typically 2 hours)
Evaluation and consultation that includes a comprehensive review of records, psychiatric interview, and assessment battery that seeks to answer questions about given diagnoses, review medication and therapeutic recommendations, and consider non-pharmacologic treatment options.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Therapy is completely personalized. And yet some common techniques include:
Normalize symptoms and emotion as a ‘sign’ to better understand needs and direct behavior
Increase awareness and understanding of thought patterns, emotional reactions, and behavioral habits
Depathologize behaviors and undertstand their function given personal life experience
Develop and practice new patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving
Strengthen coping strategies that align with personal values

FAQs
-
I provide individual therapy for individuals 14 years of age and older.
-
The initial 60 minute intake session focuses on assessment and developing a treatment plan. Follow-up sessions are 45-60 minutes.
-
The frequency of sessions is completely dependent on your goals and personal preference. I tend to prefer building a weekly or biweekly momentum to make initial progress so that patients can confidently reduce the frequency of sessions. However, there are certainly situations where less frequent sessions are appropriate.
-
Some patients work on short-term, focused problems that only require a few sessions. Others find they have more to discuss or like to have ongoing support. After our first initial session, we’ll create a written treatment plan that gives us both more clear direction on how long we’ll need to meet to make progress in your goals.

I tend to specialize in individual therapy. There have been situations where family members have been a part of sessions however I tend to make referrals to other trusted providers if people are looking for couples or family therapy.
