About Dr. Toni O’Planick, PsyD
I specialize in helping people move forward.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I have deep training in how humans operate—and how we change.
My work is rooted in science, but never robotic. I bring warmth, humor, and a deep respect for your lived experience into every session. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on what actually works.
We’ll make sense of what’s going on, clarify what matters most to you, and build strategies that move you toward a more meaningful, aligned life. Change is possible—and much easier to do with a trusted consultant as your guide.
please Hear me when I say:
Good therapy will help you feel heard.
Great therapy will help you make lasting change.
Therapy shouldn’t feel like an endless conversation with no clear direction. I respect your time, your energy, and your investment. You’re here because you want change—and I’m here to help you get there.
Gone are the days of passive talk therapy. Today, we have science-backed treatments that actually work to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and change long-standing patterns. I’m trained in those methods—and I translate them into tools that are practical, personalized, and effective.
How I work
At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that we all have the capacity for growth.
I fully believe that patients are the experts of their own experiences and with effective support, are more than capable of resolving distress and finding ease.
Our work will be focused, collaborative, and gently challenging. I’ll help you understand what’s keeping you stuck and guide you in taking meaningful steps forward—at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m committed to offering high-quality, affirming care for everyone. My practice is inclusive and respectful, regardless of race, gender, size, ability, health status, religion, age, gender identity or expression, or sexual orientation. I believe that everyone deserves a safe and welcoming space where they can feel understood and valued.
Therapy with me is…
-
Treatment is extremely individualistic. I tailor every session to your unique goals, personality, and pace.
-
I translate the science into usable, practical tools that help you get where you want to go.
-
As a Clinical Psychologist, I bring both clinical precision and integrity to our work. You’ll get thoughtful, structured care you can trust.
-
Growth and change doesn’t always have to be painful! Or stiff. There can be joy and humor in making discoveries and finding relief. If there’s a chance we can meet your goals and laugh doing it? Count me in.

Therapy should feel real—because I’m a real person too!
I’m a Clinical Psychologist, yes—but also a human being, just like you.
I do my best to practice what I preach—building a life that includes rest, connection, and purpose. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my husband and kids, being outside as much as possible, or sharing memes and TikToks with friends. I’m always game to chat about vacation plans, new streaming series recommendations, or the highs and lows of Philly sports.
